Some Democratic lawmakers have introduced a package of legislation they say will help curb gun violence. The bills include several aimed at the so-called “bullet button” that allows quick reloading of assault rifles. Several of the measures came up for their first legislative hearing Tuesday, drawing strong opposition from the National Rifle Association and Republican lawmakers.
