The California Public Utilities Commission held a public hearing today at the CPUC Auditorium in San Francisco on the future of solar power and net metering. The hearing was the culmination of a month long struggle with the solar industry to preserve net metering: a policy that allows residents who have installed solar power to sell their excess power back to utilities.
