Climate Bill SB350 Scaled Back

Democratic leaders have scaled back a major climate change bill, dropping a proposal to cut petroleum use by 50% over the next 30 years. That proposal was part of Senate Bill 350, a high priority bill for Senate president pro-tem Kevin de Leon and many environmental groups. The bill is being amended in the wake of fierce opposition from oil industry and business lobbyists, but supporters are vowing to fight on. Christopher Martinez reports from Sacramento.
