The Oakland city council pulled a controversial vote on the sale of a public parcel of land to developers from their agenda last night. The decision to pull the vote was made in a closed session before the Tuesday night city council meeting after a legal opinion from the city attorney's office stating the sale would be in violation of state law was leaked to the press.
