Renters in Oakland have filed suit against their landlord Russell Flynn over systematic harassment designed to drive them from their rent controlled apartments. Flynn, a landlord of luxury apartments in San Fransisco Recently obtained the building at 1918 Lake Shore drive after a previous speculator failed to force out tenants paying below market rates. Now 16 of the buildings 36 tenants are claiming damages. The listed complaints include attempted wrongful eviction, invasion of privacy, and intentionally inflicting emotional distress.
