A measure to raise California’s minimum wage to $13 an hour by 2017 got its last hearing in the state senate. Activists came from as far as San Diego to support the measure, saying it would lift people out of poverty and save state money. Senator Mark Leno of San Francisco presented his Senate Bill 3 at the hearing in state capitol. Christopher Martinez reports from Sacramento.
