Controversial Immunization Bill Wins Key Senate Vote

A state senate committee has voted overwhelmingly to approve a bill to strengthen vaccination requirements for school children. The vote in the Senate Education Committee comes a week after senators in the same committee said they were worried the bill would deny education to unvaccinated children. After last weeks hearing, democratic senator Richard Pan of Sacramento amended his bill to exempt home-schooled children, and a senator opposed to the measure was replaced by a supporter on the committee. Christopher Martinez reports from Sacramento.
