State lawmakers are looking at ways California can prepare for the impacts of global warming. Many of the state’s actions on global warming have focused on preventing or reducing climate change, but the state will also have to deal with effects that will impact air quality, food, and public health, especially affecting low-income communities that are most vulnerable to climate change.
