Around 50 people gathered in front of the Berkeley Post Office today to renew a call for the halting of its planned sale. The occasion was festive, since news had surfaced just a few days ago that the initial buyer of the historic building had backed out of the deal. Nevertheless, since the building is still on the market and the national push to privatize the postal service is still going strong, demonstrators insisted that the movement to Save the Berkeley Post Office still has a lot of work to do. KPFA's Andrew Klein has more.
