Environmental activists are going to court to push for a ban on the use of old, risky tank cars to ship crude oil by rail. The Sierra Club, ForestEthics, and Earthjustice have filed suit in a federal court to get action on their request for an executive order from the Department of Transportation that would immediately ban the tanker cars that have been implicated in a series of crude oil accidents over the last 2 years.
