Family of Former Cal Football Player Files Wrongful Death Lawsuit Against University

The family of a UC Berkeley football player who died during practice filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the regents of the University of California today. The lawsuit alleges that the team trainers and coaches failed to properly monitor and respond to him when he showed signs of distress during the workout. The reasons for his death are being disputed.
