To ring in the new academic year, San Francisco city and school district officials spent the day visiting campuses in the San Francisco Unified School District, meeting with students and discussing issues and programs going on within the district. Among the events, a visit to the international school to speak on a resolution passed last week by the district board pledging additional financial support for immigrant children unaccompanied by parents or guardians.
