Surprise Vote by JPA for Oakland A's Deal


In a surprise vote, the Oakland Alameda County Jt Powers Authority, known as the JPA, voted 6-2 on a new lease agreement to keep the Oakland A's playing at the Coliseum. The vote came hours after Oakland A's owner Lewis Wolff informed officials that Major League Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig had given the team permission to immediately leave Oakland wants the A's to pay more for the 10-year lease and make a commitment to stay at the Coliseum two years longer, through 2019.
