Study Documents Positive Impacts of Oakland Minimum Wage Hike


A new report shows that boosting Oakland's minimum wage could have widespread positive effects. The study suggests that up to 48,000 workers would benefit from the increase and that it would drive down Oakland's poverty rate. An Oakland measure set for the November ballot would lift the minimum wage in the city to $12.25 an hour by next March. Rosalie Atkinson reports.
