After four months of deliberations, the San Jose City Council last night finally passed an ordinance regulating medical marijuana dispensaries by a seven to three vote. The ordinance proposed by Mayor Chuck Reed is regarded by pro-marijuana advocates as a de facto ban on dispensaries. They say they've already gathered enough signatures to put a measure with looser regulations on the ballot. Maryam Labib reports from San Jose.
