A bill to limit evictions by real estate speculators in San Francisco has gone down to defeat in an Assembly committee. The measure had won approval in the State Senate, but it fell short in the committee after two Democrats joined Republicans who voted against the bill. Christopher Martinez reports from Sacramento.
