State lawmakers have returned to the capitol in Sacramento to begin the 2014 legislative session, where they were greeted by activists pushing for labeling of genetically engineered foods. The activists are building on momentum from their narrow defeat at the ballot in 2012, and other victories across the nation as other states take action to label genetically modified food.
