Napolitano Announces U.C. Tuition Freeze While Students Protest Her Appointment To The Presidency
Former National Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano gave her first public address Wednesday to the U.C. Board of Regents since becoming President of the school system in late September. Napolitano laid out initiatives for the University of California, which include a tuition freeze for the 2014-2015 school year. However, Wednesday's meeting was met with considerable opposition from students opposing Napolitano's appointment to the presidency because of her previous work with the National Homeland Security Department.
