Labor groups held a protest today over a Proposition 13 tax loophole that allows companies to avoid paying higher property taxes.
The Service Employees International Union, local 721 also used the action to raise awareness of a breakdown in labor negotiations between its union and LA County Officials. The union represents tens of thousands of LA County employees who are preparing a work action over failure to renew their contract.
