West Coast Climate Agreement Draws Fracking Opponents

Governor Jerry Brown joined other west coast leaders in San Francisco to sign a new climate deal with Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia. The agreement includes linking the region’s greenhouse emissions targets and expanding clean transportation technologies. But climate activists protested the event, calling on Brown to halt fracking, saying the controversial drilling technology could undermine any progress on halting climate change.
