BART Unions Offer Wage Proposal

Bay Area Rapid Transit workers have submitted a new contract proposal, a week before a deadline that could lead to a crippling transit strike. Unions representing BART workers lowered their proposed pay increases, and they say they’ve reached an agreement on pensions. BART management say the proposal appears to represent some progress, but the unions and management are still far apart on key issues. Christopher Martinez reports.
