City Of Anaheim Offers Bad Solution To Lack Of Council Diversity, Says Civil Rights Attorneys

On Tuesday night the Anaheim City Council voted 3-to-2 to approve a ballot measure that would impose a residency requirement in an effort to diversify elections. Following police shootings of Latino men last year, protests in Anaheim have called for political reform. Despite being majority Latino, no Latinos sit on the Anaheim city council. Civil rights attorneys have filed a lawsuit and have called Tuesday's measure a shallow change that doesn't address the real problem. Pacifica's Dan Fritz reports.
