Anti-gay discrimination by Boy Scout troops could cost them their tax exempt status, under a bill presented in the Senate Governance and Finance Committee. The “Youth Equality Act”, Senate Bill 323, would strip state tax exempt status from youth groups like the Boy Scouts and others that discriminate based on sexual orientation, gender identity or religion.
