San Francisco Symphony Musicians Go On Strike

Musicians in the San Francisco Symphony called a strike today, causing the symphony to cancel a concert scheduled for Thursday. The musicians rejected numerous contract proposals from the symphony's administration saying their compensation is not on par with comparable orchestras, like the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Chicago Symphony. But symphony management says it has made offers that would make the San Francisco Symphony among the three highest-paid orchestras in the country. Sally Schilling reports.
