Medical Marijuana Pits Cities Against Dispensaries

The State Supreme Court is considering whether cities can ban medical marijuana dispensaries created under California’s Prop 215 Compassionate Use law. A lawyer for the City of Riverside told the State’s high court the city can ban dispensaries as a public nuisance, a move medical marijuana activists see as an attempt to side-step the voter-passed medical marijuana law.
