Environmental Groups Sue California to Force Fracking Regulations

Environmental groups filed a lawsuit against the California Department of Conservation’s Division of Oil, Gas and Geothermal Resources on Tuesday attempting to force the state to regulate the practice of hydraulic fracturing, commonly known as fracking. The suit, filed in Alameda County Superior Court charges that the state has does not evaluate the public risks of fracking as required by its own environmental law. Vic Bedoian reports from Fresno.
