A segment of Los Angeles’ light rail system is projected to have the deadliest year in its history as a result of increasing accidents. There have been 22 accidents and six fatalities this year along the Metro Blue Line which stretches from downtown LA to Long Beach. Metro officials have formed a task force to look into the spike in mishaps. One Metro board member suggests a better way to report accidents to the public.
