Foster Care Bill Recognizes Children Have More than Two Parents

Lawmakers are rushing to pass hundreds of bills before a Friday deadline, including high-profile measures on public employee pensions and workers compensation. Monday, the legislature approved bills calling for federal civil rights protections for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, and a measure that would let courts recognize more than two parents if that's needed for the best interest of the child.
