One year after the beating death of homeless schizophrenic Orange County native Kelly Thomas at the hands of Fullerton Police, father Ron Thomas has filed a civil lawsuit against the city, police officers involved and two former police chiefs. The lawsuit claims that a "culture of corruption" in Fullerton led to police officers beating and shocking Thomas with a taser repeatedly July 5th, 2011. Five days later Kelly Thomas died. Pacifica's Dan Fritz reports from Los Angeles, where Ron Thomas and his attorney announced the lawsuit.
