River activists paddled to Sacramento for a rally at the state capitol Monday. They’re calling for increasing river flows to help save the San Francisco Bay Delta. The activists want the State Water Board to adopt standards that will require 60 per cent of river run-off to flow to the Delta. They say that’s needed to restore the San Francisco Bay Delta ecosystem, to improve water quality for 22 million people who rely on the Delta for drinking water, and to help save the troubled salmon fishery. Christopher Martinez files this report from the state capitol.
