Oakland City Council Approves Army Base Redevelopment Deal

The Oakland City Council approved development plans last night for the former Oakland Army Base. Prologis and California Capital and Investment Group are the developers planning to convert the 360 acre base into a shipping, packing and distribution center expected to attract businesses around the Bay Area and to create thousands of jobs. The Council's approval includes some hard fought provisions to help Oakland residents find work. Alex Kekauoha reports.
