Richmond Chevron Refinery Loses Property Tax Appeal

One of the largest refineries in California has lost a massive property tax battle with Contra Costa County. In a protracted legal dispute, Chevron was fighting to have $100 million dollars in property taxes refunded. But the county's assessment appeals board ruled that the refinery actually owes more money and not less. It's something of a political watershed in an area where Chevron's influence has long dominated local politics. Brian Edwards-Tiekert reports.
