Advocates of early childhood education held a rally in Los Angeles to defend local Head Start programs. Teacher’s unions and parent groups gathered outside of the LA County Office of Education to hold local officials accountable for the funding of early childhood education programs. Organizers of the rally said new federal funding rules jeopardize Head Start programs at a time when all revenue sources are being reduced or eliminated. Ernesto Arce filed this report.
