L.A. Mayor Urges Permanent Sales Tax For Transportation

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa used his State of the City address to urge voters to approve a permanent, half-cent sales tax to speed up a new generation of rail projects. In a speech to the City Council, Villaraigosa said the expanded rail network would give drivers an alternative to freeways that rank among the nation's most congested. Dan Fritz reports.
