L.A. School Board Delays Vote On Massive Cuts

Los Angeles School Board members postponed a decision to make major cuts to school programs until March 8. The delay will allow its negotiators an opportunity to meet with union officials to devise a plan that will soften the impact of budget cuts on
students. A few hundred teachers, labor activists and students are currently rallying outside of the LAUSD headquarters where police shut down several adjacent streets.
