A federal appeals court has ruled California's Proposition 8 ban unconstitutional. The landmark 2-1 ruling upholds a decision by former federal Judge Vaughn Walker that overturned Proposition 8. The court also rejected a challenge by Prop 8 backers who had argued that Judge Walker should have recused himself because he's in a long term same-sex relationship. The appeals panel ruling sets the stage for further appeals to the U.S. Supreme Court. Christopher Martinez reports.
