New Round In Battle California Agribusiness Versus CRLA

A federal judge in Washington DC has ordered California Rural Legal Assistance to open up nearly forty thousand case files to government investigators. The files contain confidential information given to CRLA attorneys by clients. The investigation was initiated in 2007 by California Central Valley Congressman Devin Nunes, who asked the Office of Inspector General, to see if CRLA had violated the rules governing federal funds they receive. Vic Bedoian filed this report.
