S.F. Mayor Promises To Veto Health Care Legislation

Supporters of a proposed amendment to healthy san francisco, which requires employers to contribute to a medical account for their employees, today called on interim mayor ed lee to sign the legislation. The amendment closes a loophole allowing employers to pocket unused money in the accounts at the end of the year. But despite majority support from the Board of Supervisors, Mayor Lee says he’ll veto the amendment.
