Hundreds of people began their second week campout in front of Los
Angeles City Hall. Participants say Occupy LA is gaining momentum and credibility among city residents. Several Hollywood celebrities and city leaders paid the camp a visit over the weekend, leading to criticisms that Occupy LA’s demands could
be co-opted by elected officials. Activists remained mostly united despite great ideological divides anddifferences in strategies and tactics to grow the movement. Ernesto Arce files this report from Los Angeles.
