L.A. Religious Leaders Arrested On Afghan War Anniversary

Fifteen interfaith leaders were arrested outside of the downtown Los Angeles federal building this afternoon during a rally to protest the Afghanistan War. The civil disobedience was planned to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the U.S. war. Clergy, their congregants and peace activists say the war has been costly, degraded national security, violated human rights on a mass scale and led to a culture of violence. Ernesto Arce files this report from Los Angeles.
