Hundreds Of Police Confront Occupy Oakland Protesters Tues Night

Large crowds turned out in support of occupy oakland last night. First for a rally at the Oakland Public Library, which is rumoured to have refused a police request to shut down during the protest. Then a march through downtown oakland that prompted police to fire tear gas, flash-bang grenades, and projectiles into crowds over the course of several hours. Brian Edwards-Tiekert was there.
