President Barak Obama left Los Angeles this morning after a busy night
of fundraising in West Hollywood. The president raised $2.3 million during two events that catered to Hollywood celebrities. At the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip, Obama touted his American Jobs Act. After, he tipped champagne glasses with A-list celebrities who paid $35,000 per couple for the opportunity to eat dinner with the
president. Obama was greeted by protests outside of both venues. Anti-war,
immigrant rights and social justice groups criticized what they call
the President’s broken promises. Ernesto Arce files this report from Los Angeles.
