A group of homeowners demanding mortgage modifications entered the Bank of America offices in downtown Los Angeles this afternoon. The homeowners gathered in the bank’s lobby and refused to leave until a mortgage representative agreed to meet with 15 local homeowners. The group is demanding that big banks drop predatory loans in favor of sustainable mortgages and that it reduce principal on so-called underwater loans as a first step.
