Los Angeles Police Commission Exonerates Officer Who Killed Guatemalan Immigrant

The Los Angeles Police Commission ruled today that an LAPD officer acted properly when he shot and killed a Guatemalan immigrant near MacArthur Park last September.The ruling, and subsequent statements made by LAPD Chief Charlie Beck and Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, angered the family of 37 year-old Manuel Jamines and members of the tight knit Mayan community.
