Hundreds of people in Los Angeles are holding a second day of protests following the officer involved shooting death of a 37 year-old Guatemalan man. Los Angeles Police Department officials say Manuel Jamines was wielding a knife and threatening people on Sunday afternoon when they confronted him. The department says an inebriated Jamines lunged at officers before they fatally shot him.
But angry residents of the Central American Westlake-MacArthur Park enclave say police murdered the father of three. Although LAPD Chief Charlie Beck says officers gave orders to the man in English and Spanish, Jamines spoke Quiche. The Guatemalan community is demanding justice and a full investigation into the tragedy. Ernesto Arce reports from Los Angeles.
