Appeals Court Hears Challenge to Trump's Asylum Transit Rule

A federal appeals court in San Francisco is considering a challenge to a Trump asylum rule that opponents say could effectively end asylum protections for all but the rich. At issue is a Trump Administration rule that would bar asylum seekers from filing their claims if they travel through another country without seeking asylum that country. Lawyers made their arguments before a three- judge panel of the Federal Appeals Court for the 9th Circuit in San Francisco.
