The state Senate has approved a resolution condemning the Trump administration’s new public charge immigration rule. Supporters of the resolution say the new rule will result in eligible legal residents dropping out of health, nutrition and housing programs, leading to a spike in hunger, child poverty, unmet health needs, and homelessness.
