Civil rights activists in Vallejo are protesting what they call unconstitutional and illegal practices by Vallejo police. The protest, and planned lawsuits, come in the wake of what they describe as a violent police assault on an African American man who was video-taping a nearby police encounter, as well as last year’s shooting of an African American man in his car at a Taco Bell drive-thru.
