Poor People's Campaign Launches Nonviolent Actions

Activists in 31 states held rallies and non-violent civil disobedience actions in what they call a “Poor People’s Campaign”. They say they’re challenging the evils of systematic racism, poverty, the war economy, ecological devastation, and the nation’s distorted morality. Hundreds gathered in Sacramento for California’s poor people’s campaign, including actor and activist Danny Glover.
