Some state lawmakers are introducing a package of bills aimed at cleaning up toxic lead paint in California homes, and holding paint manufacturers responsible. The bills come after California cities and counties won a lawsuit against paint companies that could cost them a billion dollars or more for cleaning up lead paint linked to health problems like brain damage and death.
